A prime steak cut, tender, juicy, with intense flavour, suitable for frying, grilling and barbecuing.
Rump steak is our favourite steak because of its depth of flavour. Rump is well marbled - the fat melts away during cooking but bastes the meat to ensure that the cooked steak is juicy and tender. Our rump steak is aged for four weeks to deepen the flavour and tenderise the meat.
We offer three steak weights
- a 200 g steak (6-7 ounce steak) - this will be between 1 cm and 1.5 cm thick (depending on the size of the beef animal)
- a 300 g thicker steak (a 10 ounce steak). This will be 50% thicker than a 200 g steak
- a 450 g (16 ounce/1 lb) Thickest Cut Sharing Steak
